Shea Butter

(unrefined, wild harvested and traditionally crafted)

Originating from the 'Tree of Life' indigenous to West and Central Africa, Shea is an indulgently creamy butter bursting with natural benefits. It is rich in vitamins A, E, essential fatty acids, and antioxidants. Shea helps repair dry or damaged skin, and  has been linked to reducing signs of aging, scars, stretch marks, and even acne.

Kokum

(unrefined, traditionally hand processed and crafted)

Kokum butter, extracted from the fruit kernels of the Garcinia Indica tree in India, is an intensely nourishing butter. Firmer than shea but easily melting on the skin, it has been used for centuries in Ayurvedic medicine. Rich in vitamin E, B-complex, and fatty acids omega-3 and omega-6, it is a potent emollient with antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, and antibacterial benefits.

Kombo

(unrefined, wild harvested and hand crafted)

Kombo butter is a powerful yet lesser-known plant butter derived from the seeds of the Pycnanthus angolensis tree (also known as the African nutmeg) in West Africa. With a brown-blueish colour, it is celebrated for its potent benefits, traditionally used for antiseptic, painkilling, regenerative, anti-inflammatory, antifungal, anti-allergenic, and immune-stimulant properties. High in myristoleic acid, fatty acids, and vitamin A, it is a natural remedy for alleviating joint and muscle pain, while also calming and repairing the skin.

Kombo butter is featured in Bare Balance for its restorative and soothing qualities.
